If you want lumens, run five (that's right, five) sst-90s in series, someone on cpf did it, had well over 9,000 lumens (real lumens, not WickedLasers IR lumens), as each sst-90 is good for around 2500 lumens at max current. While cool, it did cost him around $500, so it's up to you.

That would be epic, I think I'm gonna go look for that thread.

I wonder what he did for a reflector?

What was the size of that host?!? I hope it wasn't too small... I prefer to have skin on my hands.

Oh wow, lol, that's amazing. But at that point you might as well be using an HID. =/

HIDs have their uses, but the LEDs are far more efficient, and it looks cooler.

My UniqueFire UF-1500 arrived today...
I fully loaded two 18650 batteries, but NO light comes out!
Should I buy protected 18650 for this one, or did I recieve a broken torch?

The torch still doesn´t work, batteries are fine, I´ve tested them in my 200mW greenie.

Hope somebody is able to help me!

Okay, so the batteries are in, positive towards the head?

Protected batteries won't work any better, though I do prefer them just in case something happens.

Then you definitely killed it for sure. Never reverse polarity unless you're absolutely sure; it might have lived if you hadn't done that... Either way, DX has always sent me a replacement without question for anything that hasn't worked. Good luck...

I hope so :can:

Personally I always had good experiences with these cheap chinese stores (DX, focalprice, dhgate...), there was always a good customer service!

According the torch, lol I definitely have to upgrade my electronic skills very soon :D
