Link: DealExtreme: $16.97 72-LED Blue Light Matrix Stainless Steel Watch/Wristwatch (Black)

Shipping + Packaging :

Shipping took a while, surprising I decided to waste 20$ and use EMS. Apparently, it took them DAYS to just put it on a plane. It took less than 2 days for DX. The packaging was... Pretty normal. I mean ti wasnt wrapped too good, but it didnt really need it, it was in a big metal case. Very nice to. The watch when you first open the box is covered in plastic also on the screen.

Whats in the box:

LED Watch
Padding
Instructions

Instructions:

The instructions were very easy and simple, much easier than I expected for a watch like this. Watch has 2 buttons. A and B. Click A to see the time. Click B to set it up. Set up hours, when finished click B and youll go to minutes. Then do the same for date, year, etc. However keep in mind to click the B button you need a small pen or pin or something. Was not a problem though, I like it better like this so when I'm at a bar or something I dont accidentally click the wrong button.

Brightness:

This thing is beastly bright. I mean damn, this is really bright. It has 7 settings, but really I didnt notice too big of a difference from 3-5. But there is a significant difference from 1-7. Very very bright.

Physical:

OK, wow. This is NOT one of those plastic watches that youd expect to get with 17$. No. Hell no. This is real metal. Much better than I expected. Looks VERY nice and VERY pro. Very shiny. I ordered the black color, it wasnt really BLACK, but a blackish silver color which I REALLY, REALLY liked. I mean you cant really describe it, and pictures probably wont show it either. The black int he picture looked really dark. The screen is not as big as I thought to be honest. But its still very good. The buttons look very durable, and feel so as well. The watch feels like every other metal watch. Maybe slightly heavier. The clamp could be better though. But it is still very good.

Telling Time:

Telling the time was much easier than I though. Very easily. It only took me 2-3 tries before I could read it very quickly. You can set it to turn on every 15minutes whihc I like.

How it works:
Just click the A button (one that sticks out) and itll show the time, click it again to see the date. B button that needs a pin sets it.

Pros:
-Very Bright + brightness settigngs.
-Comes with a very nice case
-Feels very good. (LOL sounds wrong :p)
-Looks very cool, my friends were like DAMNNNNN!. They thought it was a Tokyoflash watch.
-Buttons are made good.
-Screen is not oversized.
-Comes with plastic on it, like I said.
-Can be set to turn on every 15 minutes.
- Variety of colors

Cons:

-Somewhat smaller than in the pictures.
-One size fits all.
-You can only choose to set it every 15 minutes or turn off the auto and have to click it yourself. You cant set it every 30 minutes. However it does turn on every HOUR.

Now for this price, I think the cons shouldnt even matter. I mean only 17 bucks? WOW!

Conclusion:

GREAT watch, very good for the price. Looks and feels very pro.

Now what you really wanted... PICTURES!!

Looks like a pretty nice watch TBH, for the money definitely. Must admit that I am a sucker for good old analog though.

The only thing that I am wondering is what sort of battery life can be expected from the watch...those LED's while not the most hungry of components do add up, considering the limited capacity of watch batteries.

If you can update, the thread, if you have any battery issues in the future.

I will, so far I've clicked it a 100 times showing my friends. I can read the time in a snap.

how does this works?

Ahh sorry, I guess I didnt explain it. Just click the A button (one that sticks out) and itll show the time, click it again to see the date. B button that needs a pin sets it.

Nice review, I was thinking of getting one of those a while back. I think Hallucynogenyc might have been asking how to read the time. I looked at the link provided and can easily see how the hour works in the vertical line, but I'm kinda confused as to how to read the minutes. Do the minutes count 1-5 on the bottom row from left to right then from 6-10 on the second from bottom?

VERY easy.

On the right of it, it has numbers. 5,10,15,20,25, etc. Up to 60 of course. And if the line fills up 5, its 5 passed the our. If it almost fills it up, 1 dot before it touches 5. then its 4. Get it?
