XJ-A150 News

Simple, Asians are big into a concept called in English simply as "FACE". Saving FACE is defending the company honor and personal honor, and that is all based on name, parentage, and action.

By calling them anything other then Casio they lose massive FACE. Loss of FACE is cause for a fight. Loosing FACE is cause for a variety of actions ranging from apologizing, to quitting a job, loss of social status, to chopping off ones own fingers as punishment, and in rare cases murder or suicide.

Not wise to insult a Asian by abusing their name. Its one of the worse things you can do.

Its a serious social gaff. Very disgraceful to do. Far, far, worse then if I challenge your sexuality or insult your mother in our culture.

Steve
Agreed. The family name is a no go zone. It is everything. Same with company names. One of the biggest mistakes you can make when trading "name cards" with an Asian is to put it in your back pocket! Essentially you will be sitting on the family...
Got you added to the list. LINK

Oh boy. What have I gotten myself into this time.
Keep an eye out for black hawk helicopters circling your house. The lawyers, FDA etc are watching you!

I advise you hide the cheetos from the lawyers. They are greedy bastards.

A little off-topic but why are there no other projectors with diodes in them?

There are others, but they use laser "bricks" blocks for red, green and blue, and their prices are simply outrageous :p

Got the tracking number this morning.:D

For years we've had high voltage coils in CRTs and cars THAT COULD KILL YOU. Unlike a laser diode that at worst could blind you. There was no need to prevent people from removing said part from them and using it for other purposes. Personal responsibility people! Let's not let it slip away anymore!

That's my motto...I wish Washington would get it.

I'm willing to bet they're just mass-cooling the diodes heavily to lower the wavelength, the video showed truer blues.

But cooling would shift the wavelength towards violet and efficacy would drop.

Wouldn't a lower wavelength react better with the phosphor?

Not necessarily. LEDs use blue sources even though violet is readily available. (possibly for a different reason, I don't know for sure)

I see what you're trying to say, but flybacks simply don't have enough current to kill.

sorry it this has already been corrected... i read a few pages back that somebody corrected another person about the xj145 to be xj140.... well there are 145's and 135's.. the difference in the 35/45 series being a usb port so you don't have to hook it up to a computer.

Re: XJ-A150 News
I called Crapio once a long time ago-- never again - at least not about anything to do with thier projectors-- trust me- they prolly all have a memo to direct all calls about the XJ-A series to a 'special' desk.

Why are you calling them that? They are a well run company and have been for decades. If they were not successful, you would NOT have your blue diodes.
That is just plain wrong. If that nickname catches on, they will have even more reason to be lawsuit happy.

Steve

You are right about this-very wrong--- I have gone back and changed it to C*sio-- some one else suggested we call them that and I without really think it through was just following suit-- My Bad!

And it is true that they make great products -- I own a lot of C*sio items and especially like thier keyboards- having 6 of them.

I cannot agree more that I should be thankful for having the ability to get 445nm diodes so cheaply--T.Y. for reminding me.

I stand corrected.

with respect Hk

By calling them anything other then Casio they lose massive FACE.

Well, lets be a little more positive and applaud their effort by calling them CLapio from now on. I suppose they would appleciate that :D

why call them anything? cant we aviod all this drama by just adressing the prjector's catalog number? that way only ppl in the know will know LoL..

LOL! Clapio on, Clapio off..

Asian or American, European or African, a corporation is a corporation. I don't support corporations over the little guys EVER, so therefore I could give a crap what the Clapio executives (or any corporate execs for that matter) think about anything really. Oh, so they're upset about losing FACE? Well let them drive home in the Bentley, crawl up the 75 marble steps to their door, have the butler open it, go through the study to their atrium and cry their little hearts out.. LOL!! Puhleeeeze.
