Re: Xj-a150 $1173?

How can we really know the 3000 lumens have been achieved by using a more powerful laser diode? Couldn't it have been achieved with a more powerful LED stage?

Just think (I didn't when I post first time), red LEDS are only for red color, blue laser diodes are for green and blue, so they couldn't just make red stronger, they had to do with the rest aswell.

Which could be done with a more efficient green phosphor and overdriving the diodes a little bit.

At the moment there is still no definite proof that the 140 is any different than the 130, only some strong evidence that they are binned. Chances are the same is true with this projector as well.

Also, as it seems the 140 practically catches fire on its own I don't see how they could put more powerful diodes in there, probably just more efficient binned diodes.

Which would be worth an extra $10-$15 in my book! A 2W chrome pocket mini anyone?:eg::eg::eg:

Enjoy your 5 seconds on/5 minutes off :na:

Lol, yeah hopefully that long:p I thought my regular pocket mini 445nm would get too hot so I kept it low, however it doesnt get nearly as warm as the chrome with LCC at 500mA. I think the CU heatsink helps though. But hey I could always use the maxsink for a 2W labby build:eg:
