hello, I'm new here but I've been kinda reading the forum for a while now.
I recently bought a Spyder 3, paid for it on November 15th and it just got to me today, so it was less than a month for delivery. I've seen stories of people saying they've waited 4 months for their Arctics, I barely waited one. Had no problem with customs or anything, but had to pay an extra import tax when I received the laser, it was about 25 dolars.
I bought it with the lens cleaning pen, didn't like it.
The shades are pretty much neat, do an awesome job and look pretty cool.
The laser also looks amazing, but I'm afraid it's not outputting at 1w or more, as I've seen many people getting around 800mw on their Arctics. I sent an email requesting order cancel and a refund 2 days ago, as there was no tracking number yet. I've received the laser, and still have no tracking number.
I also got the Expanded Lens kit, which pretty much was a waste of my money, as they don't do anything impressive really, and some came dirty.
The box the Arctic came in was a little damaged, looked old...
Also, the laser aperture is kinda scratched, but I don't really think it's a big deal.
And one problem that kinda annoyed me: when I go on the full power constant wave mode, 2 of the safety leds are kinda blinking, like they're not getting enought energy. This indicates a bad eletric system to me, nothing else.
Overall I'd give my Arctic a 7.5/10, with 8.5/10 for delivery time, and 5/10 for costumer service.
The pen gets a 5/10, while the lens kit gets a 3.5/10.
I might post pictures later on.
Also, if I want a good star pointer, what do you guys recommend? I want something really bright... at an acessible price... I was considering getting the green E3 from WL, and since their delivery time improved, I'm considering even more.
What do you guys think?
