G'day,

Loving the stainless builds and hadn't built a 445 stainless yet so here it is!

Trustfire F22 Stainless Steel
Metal Tailcap
14500 Battery
Flexdrive V5 @ 1070mA
A140 Diode
Aixiz Glass Lens
Aixiz Focus Adapter (Flaminpyro is machining me a nice adapter :))

It sat at around 775mW, the diode window is dirty and cleaning it with a lens pen hasn't rendered me much power.

She heats up fairly quickly which i figured as the heatsink is quiet small.

I used thermal paste between diode and copper module, module to heatsink and thermally glued the Flexdrive to the pill.

Thanks for looking! :)

Fiddy.

Looks great! :gj:

Was the crown an original part, or was that Jeff's handywork?

That was original. You know what would look awesome?!?!? If the focus adapter somehow pressfit into the assault crown?

You mean so that you turn the crown to focus the laser?
Yea, that is a cool concept.

I actually made a custom machined assault crown/focus adapter for a member about 6 months ago.

Sorry for the slight threadjack, Fiddy.
I love the smooth look of your build. :)

Very nice. That is a great little host.

One reason that it is heating up so quick besides that it is a smaller host is the efficiency of the diode. Basically 1.1A producing 800mW. If it was 1.1A and say 1.2W with the Aixiz a lot less heat would be generated.;)

Let me tell you, stainless steel is a bitch to cut and grind. Especially with my Milwaukee handheld. :)

Haha, awesome... And yes I know your pain.

That looks pretty clean, did you use the original put pressfit a aluminum piece in there and drill a 12mm hole to accommodate the aixiz module lens?
