Yes…Jordan….It was a very long road indeed….and therein lies the biggest challenge…to stick with the project….thru the ups…and many downs !!! As all of the great builders here on LPF would likely agree ( And I am not in this class !!)…that is the really hard part….the “ Not knowing “ if what you envision, design, machine and assemble will actually work. One’s ego and confidence say that …” This can be done…and I will do it !!! “…I have the tools to accomplish this…SOooo…” Let’s Roll “ !!!!

I knew that knife edging works….but…could it be shrunk down to fit in a HH format ??? Well…it can and it does….and now we have arrived at another plateau. Now…we have even greater responsibility…the two go hand in hand !!!!! We cannot stop the inexorable March of Technology…we can only be responsible adults and safeguard our own safety and those around us !!!!!!!!!!!!! I will stop now…before the “ Fife and Drum “ music starts !!! Whada “ Yankee Doodle Coherent Dandy “ !!!!

And YES…I was driven….very, very driven to complete the build…it was a true “Labor of Love “...but...one must have the tools to do the job !!

I must also acknowledge the huge amount of knowledge and practical application pulled from PL...as this is a group equally and completely dedicated to advancing the art and skill of controlling coherent light and I am extremely gratefull for their support and their passion !!! To me..LPF and PL are both great places on the WWW !!!

Finally... the project completion….well….IT WAS GREAT !!! Thanx again Jordan for your support and advcice!!!!!!!!! Now…On to the next build !!! Mmmmm ??? Blue …or Red….that is the question !!!!!!!

Thanx again for you kind words !!!

Yikes !!! A " Lemming " you say....MMmmmm ???? Either will demand much...."GREEN"

Do we know the divergence of the special Red C-Mount yet ???? 2.22 multiplier for the wavelength response at the 650 nm line....MMmmmmm ???.... Naaaaahhh !!! That's nutz !!...Hahahaha

DTR, is the output on those a square? And what kind of lens assembly would need to be used?

I'll be keeping an eye on it then. I feel like 4 or 5W of 650nm Light in a handheld would be a great sight to see, even if burning was cumbersome. It's all about the beams, man. All about the beams....now pardon me while I go light some matches and melt a binder. :p

Thanx MUCH Jerry !! It was a great experience...and put my machining skills to a real test !!

My other builds have mainly been on PL...and having to do with optical set-ups...no suprise there !! And...in that regard....I remain a novice. Optical Engineers study this stuff for YEARS !!!

It is about time I give back to LPF...for I have received alot !! :thanks:
