So my dream started when I was buying 50mw modules from fast tech and looking for suitable hosts. I found this:
$7.83 Mini Stainless Steel 1-Mode Waterproof LED Flashlight - 1 x AAA at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
After some Internet searching I came upon tungston carbide heads for my dremel, I finally had time to grind.

Elegant metal tail clicky

regular sized bic

+ and - solder leads

Once a module head slipped in (only about 1/3 way, which was expected) I was ready to set my a130 from Hak with a benboost v1 @941ma
and did my first host driver mod... I wedged the negative between the board and host and just used a Drill bit to pierce
the pos pad and add the lead wire/ solder blob. After all was said and done i figured a 10/30 duty cycle was depressing. So mike is helping
me out big time by making me a nice exterior hs. should be around 700mw output avg. All and all, it was just really fun to make.

UPDATE!
Got a sweet polished custom HS from Mike (Mrcrouse) Cycle is now 30/30

Very nice build! Man that's one tiny host. :)

Just wondering, what would the duty cycle be in that small of a host? 30-45 seconds on, 1 minute off?

In the OP I said it is a meager 10/30sec on/off, since like 2/3 of the module is naked, which is why I'm getting a custom HS from the one and only MrCrouse.

It's not the size that matters, it's the mWs :umbrella:

Nice build, and the heatsink adds a nice touch. +1
