You can use Mg to ignite thermite, which is aluminum and iron oxide. It is a self feeding reaction that creates pure iron at extremely high temperatures, enough to melt through concrete, or an engine block of a car lol but I guess Mg is hot enough anyways... just not liquid
LOL you have to make thermite! It's 65-70% aluminum shavings and the rest is iron oxide (rust). It's not an element haha
