This turned out really nice considering they were all scrap parts sitting in a box!

The SL stainless host was among 10 different hosts I have sitting around from eBay purchases and the only one that would fit a 510 addapter also parts-heatsinks. Looking threw my old drivers I came across some 800-1.2a boost drivers that were very cheap from Aixiz a long while back, great for 1 cell and an A140 since it's the highest current driver I had on hand it will do for an M140.

The driver is 12mm by 20mm just a tad to big to fit in the pill or the 510 heatsink, so I thermal plastered it to the back of the positive contact pill I made with a brass bolt threw some hardened plastic washer, I also filled the 510 addapter with thermal paste for extreme heatsinking. Sorry no picks of this as I wasn't planning to make a thread on this.

The 510 addaptor will not fit in a SS host without modding, it took over an hour to remove the 2mm lip inside the host head so the 510 can slide in, I filed it in a way so the 510 gets tighter and tighter the more you press it in, the heatsink gets Nice and warm after 120 seconds so this is my new go too low power burner.

I needed that little extra room in the host so it's now modded for a 18500 bat
I'm using a 3 element lens so 1.1w is nice for 1.2a driver, I don't think my bat is fully charged at the moment.

So turned out a quality laser out of parts, thanks for checking it out!

BBB,
Don't worry about the driver theres always time to change it out later, besides all your other great builds compensate for the driver issue LOL !!

Nice use of parts. I actually like the head of that laser, as it adds a slight contrast to that of the main body of the host. Good Job Badboybilly :)
