I've still got 2 available that I was holding for a member who decided he couldn't do it right now.

Then this one will be closed (unless someone doesn't pay up ;) )

nice daguin, i would like one if you feel comfortable parting with it. would you be interested in canning it for me for a little extra? i have a feeling it would make it here long before i had a chance to get a press.

Yeah. It is human nature. EF would not order the projector before the money was in. There is less "urgency" felt here because the projector is already paid for. Trust me, they will feel the urgency, next week, when they realize that I will not ship their diode until they pay up :whistle:

^Very true! They'll cough up the cash then. If there's anything I can do to help persuade people to pay up on Round 1 let me know Dave.. I don't want my group buys to interfere with yours.

They will either cough up the cash or somebody else will and they will be in round 4 :crackup:

Thanks RA. We should be OK here.

The projector is ordered and on its way. I did not pay for expedited delivery. The UPS tracking ( 1ZE6W3114221131027 ) says that it should be here the 8th (Tue). I had to order from outside of California (Newegg is only about 3 miles from me) to avoid the almost 10% state tax here.

If someone doesn't follow through, I will make a decision then about what to do with their diode(s).

Heck, I just realized one of my household's paychecks comes in on Friday, so I would be able to get another one next week as well. But if people pay up, no sweat. These things aren't going anywhere, I can wait for #2, so don't hold anything back on account of me. I'm flexible, take care of everybody who pays up, and if people don't, me and RA can take what's left.

Also, I have no idea which of the 6 threads I should post this in, but something else I just thought about: while these are fine for high powers, it's possible that you'll get a better beamspec at lower powers. At lower power, you could have fewer modes, and therefore get a better beam out of it. Maybe some food for thought. I think most people on here are just going to turn these things up as high as they'll go and say "kewl!!!", but you *may* get a better dot out of it at lower powers. But we'll all see soon enough.

Can't believe I missed the opening, that sucks. Just have to wait until it arrives for real.

How long do you think postage will take from the US to the UK? probably a week I'd imagine, I can't wait till the 16th! Time will go so slowly :eek:
