Hi all,
It's been more than I post here but I had other occupations and I had to abandon my lasers for some time. Today I conducted a change of my Laser Rifle 445 Lazerer, version 1, 1W. I based on the following thread Rainfade Rifle mod 445, to change the lens block and at the same time I make an extension tube to be able to put two 18650 batteries of high capacity batteries instead of the base.
I must say that changing the lens has not been easy. The first thing is that the wire broke the two side by unscrewing the body of the laser. Then it was filled with thermal paste I think. It was a long while to remove it using a dielectric spray degreaser. Then modify a clamp to unscrew the heatsink and then finally remove the acrylic lens.
I changed it to a glass lens aixiz and then reassembly and tinkering to replace the wire.
It took me a long time is also screwing the heatsink for the right distance with the lens for the right end of the beam when the laser is completely screwed. I have not managed to find just the right setting as I made marks on the body of the laser that give me the position for burning and convergence to infinity.
Here are some pictures of my realization.
I'm happy with my change, the power seems more important (I have nothing to measure it ...) and especially the power to burning is much better.
I also see the disappearance of "bubbles" that I had before when the faisceu was completely diverge.
