Default Question! DJ Stage laser

Its been a while since ive been on here.
I bought a CASA Blue DJ Stage laser,

laser equipment,club laser,party laser

The model is CTL-VVP

Its a 2 sided 300mw 450nm blue laser.
I bought this on ebay
445nm 450nm 2W Blue Laser Module TTL Blue Laser Beam 12V NDB7875 E | eBay

its a 445-450nm Blue 2W laser module TTL 12V

I opened up the laser and took the stock one out and placed in the new one, took a little work since the old one is smaller and was on a little block, And i connected the laser and driver to the driver that was already plugged in, i would post pics but its been done for a while now, i can reopen it and take pictures if needed. and i made sure the beams were in the mirrors and they work correctly.

My issue is it is not that much more brighter.. I would think it would be a huge difference in visibility. But its maybe 15%-20% brighter. i dont have anything to test its power. but could the way i hooked it up maybe have an effect on the power? maybe its being limited somehow?

Pictures would be nice. Please check the voltage input to your new module, as well as current. Voltage and current into the old module would also be good to know. If you don't have a multimeter, get one. They're a few dollars.

If you hooked the new circuit board to the old driver, then yes, you are limiting the new driver (~2W) with the old one (~.3W). If it is hooked up like this I don't even see how the new driver could be getting sufficient voltage, though.

Anyway, if that is the way it's hooked up, you're gonna have to disconnect it from the old driver board and find a 12 volt supply for it that'll be capable of the current it needs. Hopefully somewhere already in the laser system.
