-Nick

Strange.
When mine was shipped (a few weeks ago) I got an email from Iya Trinidad (Customer Support Team, Wicked lasers) saying that the order was shipped, but they also said that they were not giving tracking info out unless it was specifically requested.

Did the email come from "zero technologies"? or did it come from "Wicked Lasers"?

email came from ups.
im curious, what was the shipping weight for your package?
-nick

I don't have the package here (at work) to check, but I will check in about 30 minutes when I get home.
Also, my Arctic came regular USPS express (EMS express [from China]), not UPS.

They used to before the Arctic fiasco. :tinfoil:
They thought that costomz would get wise and nab the shipments at the border, that's also why they weren't sending tracking numbers (unless you spec. request one), to avoid delays/confiscations/returns.
They didn't send me a tracking number, but it arrived in 3 days from their shipping notice email.
They use EMS express, and when it's in the US, those packages go to USPS priority.
My label even said "portable laser" on it with a declared value of $30 and a weight of 0.94 Kgs (~2 Lbs). Unless they recently switched back to UPS, I don't think it's from them.

I never received any tracking information.

Oddly enough, that seems to be exactly what's just happened to some.

From this thread in Wicked's forum: ARCTIC LASER SEIZED BY U.S. CUSTOMS! GOT PACKAGE, NO LASER
Got my package today minus my arctic!

Quote from letter inside:

U.S. CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION
Department of Homeland Security

ITEM(S) PROHIBITED FOR ENTRY INTO THE UNITED STATES HAVE BEEN SEIZED FROM THIS SHIPMENT FOR APPROPRIATE ACTION AND DISPOSITION UNDER U.S. CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION LAW. SEIZURE OF THIS ITEM IS MADE PURSUANT TO 19USC1595A(C) AND 21USC381. LASER POINTERS OVER 5mw. PER FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION.

Very angry. What do I do?

That sucks. :yabbmad:
Let's hope wicked stays true to their customz seisure policy (refund or resend + 100 wicked bux [or something like that]).
Just another reason not to order from Wicked right now. grrr... and I wanted to order a Sonar 200mW :cryyy:

I *just* got my laser about 30 minutes ago. Order number 492xx ordered way back in June. Mine came EMS/USPS and it even went thru San Fran customs in one day, so SFC customs is NOT catching ALL of them. I would post on the WL forums, but their registration is broken and I cant get the activation email. Anyone want to PM Athoul and see if he can fix it over there? username carbon77 is created, just not activated.

The shipping weight on my package is .934kg, or roughly 2 lbs.

I also have an order in the 492xx range. I am trying to get in touch with them to get tracking info.

Let's hope it hasn't been seized by customs. I hear many of the east coast ones are getting through.

I sent a request to change my address, they replied back it had already shipped, with a tracking number. I followed it from china, to san fran customs, where it spent a day, then showed up in my city (lets call it the Seattle area) the following day after it was released from customs. No indication it had been opened by customs, and it was even marked as a laser.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe thats Steve's sister company in the states. He started out here, and then move to China to make lasers.

Can you please keep Arctic order questions on Wicked Laser's site? This is not a Wicked Lasers order update and support forum.
