I'm currently working on making a 445np "laser pistol." I'm still drawing up all the plans, and I've figured out how to make the heat sink, trigger mechanism, detachable "magazines" (removable battery pack in the handle, basically.) and all that fun stuff, but the one thing I'm worried about is the diode w/Aixiz casing and the driver.
I've already fried two cheapo green lasers trying to work on them, and I don't want to risk doing this to a 445 setup, so basically what I'm hoping to find out is if I would be able to purchase a pre-set driver board and a 445nm diode set into the Aixiz casing, so that all I would need to do to build a functional laser is place the complete diode module into a head sink, connect it to the driver board, and then connect a switch to the driver board.
Attached is a rough schematic showing the layout of the parts. How much would one of you experts charge for building them? If possible, I would like the driver to be set drive the diode to at least 1.5 watts, higher if possible.
Sorry to sound like a total newb. I've just been wanting to replace my aging <1w O-Like 445nm with something more powerful and unique. Thanks!
EDIT: I omitted the wires leading to the power source in the schematic. Fixed!
