Well, I don't know what to say really, except for maybe did I break some record of some kind :D well hopefully & you guys can let me know :D
First thanks to
DTR for the diode
Eudamonien for the heatsink
Foulmist for the driver
Start with an 1.84Amp Foulmist driver :)

Heatsinking this driver for this build was tricky.. The heatsink used completely bypasses the pill & there is no pill used in fact.

Well that little heatsinking seemed to have done the trick, driver runs fine for up to 8 minutes before thermal protection :D

all wired up :)

I didn't take any more build pictures so now the final product :D

Now I know this is what everyone wants to see :na:

This thing is never gonna be sold :D It's too special :D
Pretty good, 2.6W on the spot @ 1.84Amps... Here's the real surprise, it's not a G lens, it's a regular 2 element glass lens  I wonder what it will do with a g :eg:

Too bad I don't have one :na:

:thanks: for looking!

Unbelievable, 2.6W at 1.8A. That is a keeper for sure.

I got the same heatsink and surprisingly it fits into the host with the pill still in. I'm planning on heat-sinking FMT to the pill for the next build.

Really? Mine didn't.

I wish I could use the pill as I had to sand all kinds of parts to get a - connection

In my case the pill screws in all the way into the host and its top sits about 1mm lower than start of the tread (and the edge that keeps heatsink from falling out) in the head. I wonder If I got an unusual host, because Eudaimonium did mention that the pill should be taken out :)

Well that's a good thing honestly :) will definelty make it easier to hook up :)

I like eudamonien's heatsink is great, it's huge :D

Actually, it seems that the pill in that particular SAIK is slightly thinner than the usual size. I have just taken apart newly arrived saik and its pill is thicker. I guess one could file off 1mm from a pill to make it fit with the heatsink.

Another unpleasant surprise for me was the discovery that the pill has a huge hole in the middle. Should have taken the pill apart sooner. I'd have to insert something in there to heatsink the driver :)

Anyway, I will stop now. Did not mean to hijack the thread.
