2016-01-27 05.08.58.jpg NUBM06 on the left NUBM44 on the right.
Up close the two diodes look almost identical
So I wanted to start a thread for this diode. To see if anyone has any experience with it. I don't have a LPM to test it, but from running it along side of the NUBM44 it seems just slightly less powerful. Beam divergence seems to be a little better than NUBM44.

Nice you can see the emitter is a little larger on the NUBM44. The other is probably more like a NDB7A75.

Greetings,

Appears to be from a 32w array, link here. Sale For 445 Diode

Looks like they have a few pics of DTR's modules there as well. :)

cheers,
Moe

$699.00 for the 32W array of 8 diodes. It looks like they are using photos from several different sites including DTR's, if they have those items in stock you would think they could take their own photos.

Greetings,

Agreed.
I thought it was rather lame they couldn't use their own pics.

Just for the record I took those photos myself with my phone. I didn't get them from anyone's site. If you look I'm sure you'll see a difference. The NUBM44 diode is one that I decanned after the window blew out. If you look at the emitter you can see some damage and the NUBM06 is a diode i extracted from a 8x Nichia diode bank.

I think you are DTR rite about it being more like a NDB7A75. Im looking to buy a LPM. But in visual comparison with the NUBM44 it's putting out a watt or two less.

Sorry if it wasn't clear, we weren't talking about your photos, we we talking about photos on the site that Moe linked to here in this post:

That site is using photos from other sites.

Oh OK. Sorry I thought you were saying I took those from other sites.

This is the highest wattage yet. 7.95watts at 4.6amps this diode seems to be very efficient. I have a bench power supply on the way then I will be able to do a thorough test.

Hi,
This is a LPM reading from a NUMB44 i had built driver set to 4.5A . I will compare the 06 diode when it arrives this week . Hopefully the diode will be a very efficient one but who knows.

Rich:)

There's a pretty good chance they will be. It's pretty crazy that this diode hit 7.96 at only a little over 4.5 amps. I haven't even pushed it all the way up. I'm getting some BlackBuck6 6 amp drivers this week. I think it will hit 8.3watts. That's just my guess. I have my quad NUBM06 build pretty much all set. It's going to be pretty intense. I can't wait to see what it looks like in the night sky.
