Got the laser it works great! I accidently made the wires a little long and had to fold them a liitle so the copper heat sink and diode would fit (hope that's not a problem) . The stainless steel came with a little bit of nicks and scratches but it is stainless so I'm not complaining. So far everything seems to work great. Can I have some help posting pictures?

Sure :)

Just upload the pictures to whatever service you like, photobucket for example, copy the image URL, and use the insert image button
insertimage.gif
past in the image URL, and you're done :)

You can also just type the image tags, for example to produce the picture above, this is what was written;

PHP:

Best to resize pictures if they are very large.

Thanks!! And do you think that folding the wires is going to create a problem?

John, folding the wires is not a problem as long as everything fits smoothly. I've found that 1-3/8" to 1-1/2" total length is ideal for assembly.

Gary, I am having trouble with my g1 lenses. I cannot seem to get it to screw in to the diode. It feels like the threads get very tight when I start to thread it. I don't think this is a spring problem but do have any ideas?

Have you tried threading it in without the spring? Is there debris or a burr on the threads?

Yes and still will not thread very far in. My element lense threads fine so there must be something odd with the g1. I looked and I did not see any debris.

It doesn't happen very often but sometimes you can work the threads back and forth and loosen them up. Is the diode module brass or copper? Did you purchase the G-1 from us or someone else?
