I do still have one up coming problem I have to deal with, My heat sink is ID 30mm and the Copper Module setup I'm buying from DTR is 25mm so I'm going to have to make a sleeve out of aluminum or copper with an OD of 30mm and a ID of 25mm.

I'm not looking forwards to dealing with that........ :(

NOTE: When you sand and test fit parts be sure to have some thermal grease on the parts so they don't seize together or you may destroy then trying to get them apart, you can rotate gently as you assemble to find a natural mate but if you feel it start to grab at all twist and pull it apart right away so you don't seize, at least you have 2 dissimilar materials, copper/aluminum, if it was copper and copper that would grab like mad.

Hell they say any size, message them with what you need and you can always hand fit from there.

I have used a bolt through a part in my hand drill against a sanding disc in my table saw to make parts, it's crude but works.

One day we will all own lathes and 3d parts printers, but until then we improvise. :D

-----edit------

@ Alaskan below: The way they lob off a chunk of bar stock and extrude then stretch and reshape by roll forming is amazing, it's like they are working with clay to make containers, now alloying and forging is a really neat science too, our material technology makes rocket nozzles and aircraft turbines possible, now we have powdered metal titanium alloy connecting rods that are pressed under high pressure and heat that form a rod that holds up in a 1000 HP engines and at high rpm that exert crazy inertial tensions, materials science is amazing and part of our path into a better future...of course....yes, we will make weapons out of everything as well, but that's not always bad. Lightweight super strong body armor is good. ;)
