If you like to burn the way I do that sink will get hot in a few minutes, but I like it, it will get you several minutes depending on ambient air temp and cool down faster between runs, High drain cells are recommended to avoid sag, you'll draw 3 amps at 8 volts with a SXD to output 4.5a to the diode.

Here's one of my early 44's, it was finned too.

I'm sure with that finned heat sink..if you wave it
around over your head like a crazy guy it will cool
down even faster...

LOL Thanks guys ! I figured if this heat sink can keep a Overclocked Intel Core 2 Quad Extreme Processor QX9770 cool it should have no problem keeping a 44 copper module half way cool, I hope ! lol

I think that is a reasonable workaround assuming all 3 of you can be ok with me being here BUT not under any of your thumbs or me taking matching orders from any of you, There are PLENTY of other people here you can run roughshod over so all 3 of you just put me on your respective ignore lists AND leave me there AND forget about me and I will do the same ! It's from a CPU cooler I had for my Intel Core 2 Quad Extreme Processor QX9770, It was retired after I got a liquid cooling system for it a while back, It had a solid copper core in the middle that I pressed out of it a long time ago and I had the heat sink kicking around in my garage for years, I can't stand to through stuff like that away because you just never know when it could come in handy ! lol
