My Monster 6+ watt Laser Build Has Started !

I always have something I want to add later, or think I should word it differently, I don't know what to call it. Why are you pointing it out?

I don't want to get involved with a kid, if you really are one. Otherwise I wouldn't have an issue sending you a 5 milliwatt pointer, if I could find one, but even they can be harmful if someone were to stare into it.

Wow you are very lost here ? All of that has already happened, I think it would be best for you to go back a ways and read every post over again until you are caught up with most people here.....

Besides that there were a lot of members that were having fun just shooting the breeze and being silly and sometimes talking about "za", If people are having fun in my thread then I don't mind members doing that in my thread, I say let the members have their fun and let this thread ride on and any one that don't like it can go else where.......

I got the monster heat sink on the new 26650 host......





Now with this host I can use these bad boys !

3 Cells give you a lot more runtime, I put little V meters into some of my workhorse builds and you can watch the voltage sag down and tick down as you use them, 6.8volts is the cutoff for the SXD driver I have been told, 2 x 26650's will get you many minutes, but 3 cells will run many more sessions between charges.

p.s. I just scored a Linos 2X-8X and have bids in on others, I really want some wider lens units but even used names like Linos don't come cheap

Cool BE !

A little while back I though I was going to score a big name high dollar BE, the traffic was really slow on it and someone had did a terrible job at listing it but it got sniped out from under me................. :banghead:

Yea with the variable power I am hoping I can squeeze the max out without clipping any/much of the beam. For the front lens size I may only use 4X worth of it but if I can put that power in a tight spot at distance then I can surgically clip leaf stems and fun stuff that you cant do with the most powerful blunt flashlight.

I just about need a scope to see my hot spot with the setup I have now, but if you can get it tight enough you can cut without even burning, it's fun to see how precise you can apply the power, unlike anything kinetic there's no drop, I like that for I am the great Red leaf hunter. :eg:

On a serious note my challenges are all for fun, as always safety first. :beer:

On a side note if you enjoy leaf zapping as I do then a good time is after a rain, because when things are dry and it's windy as well a small fire can spread really quickly, I just cleaned up my play area of clippings and in my fire pit when that wind hit it flashed up like crazy, so be very careful, make sure anything you burn is completely out before you walk away, know your backstop if you are shooting or lazing as it's important in either case, and think about lasing outdoors on your own property after a rain for added safety.
