My first 445nm build its a XJ-A130 diode..thanks Glenn, flex drive v5 set @ 850mA, I'm using Jayrob's 405-G-1 lense, also a aluminum heat sink from Jayrob, for the host I'm using my favorite one the LED LENSER , She's pushing 1178mW's

Awesome laser!

1.2W at 850mA. Same as my two 445nm.
I can advise that you'd better build next one using a "high current test load".

How common is it to get 1178mw out of 850ma?

Sorry to make the dead post but I couldn't help myself, I just now seen this :na:

Wow this is Sarge's first build and he got almost 1200mW out of it that's great +2
And what an efficient diode you got there Sarge, is it still running ?
