My 445 flashes brightly then dies down! Help!

I need some help guys, i dont know what im doing wrong. I have a Flaminpyro SSH build using a microboost drive to power my 445 diode. When i put the battery in, (an 18650) and i turn it on, it flashes brightly for an instant and then dies down to the point where it wont even smoke anything even if i focus it. I dont have an LPM, but shouldn't that mean that its outputting less than 100mW?.. anyways, i tried adjusting the driver and the same thing happens, i took it apart and re-soldered everything too to see if that was the problem and no. And i dont think its gone LED because it flashes brightly every time I turn it on, meaning it didnt just happened once.

Help please!!!!

I have another brand new 445 diode, but i dont want to thrash this one if its still good and im doing something wrong... could it be the driver??? what if i hook it up directly to a 9 volt batt just to see if it holds a higher output power? would i risk burning it, even if its for a couple seconds??

oh man :/ i dont even have a DMM, i guess im gonna have to buy one here... im curently in Mexico, so its gonna be more expensive... you wouldnt know whats the scheme is for a 445 test load do you?
