Greetings fellas ! :D Recently I started my own little business and Iv'e been pumping every cent into resurrecting my ""2W"" monster, wich (apparently) died of bad Chinese driver (Laser was eating 1.6 amps but still showed 140mw output if I remember correctly). So I recently ordered M140 diode module with three element glass lens, Wich came pretty fast from DTR's Shop And 2.0 amp Boost Driver from OdicForce from UK wich too came pretty fast. So yesterday I started putting everything together, THIS time I was grounded all the time when soldering, did a proper test load on driver to see if everything's OK and guess what !? I finally saw (about) 2.2W of true, raw power ! :lasergun:

I set the driver at 1.7 amps, So Im roughly in 2.2W area I guess ? UPDATE measured mw using IR thermometer method and turns out it's 2340 mw !

Had to remove the leds, because it was just too much hassle putting them back, and didn't have blue leds anyways.

This thing is insane, I have small burnt spots all over the damn walls

I want to say big thanks to DTR for he's truly awesome service and great quality diodes !

And basically LPF as forum for helping me out with various questions ! Thank ya All !

Cheers ! No smokes used in last pic, cuz for 2.2W You dont need smokes :D

Wow!! Absolutely awesome looking. What kind of duty cycle do you get out of that host?

Thanks for good words ! :)

Haven't really tried, in 20c room running few minutes heatsink just gets a little warm !

I used very high quality silkpads from HP Server PSU, and the module was pressed in very tightly into the heatsink !
