Here is the top of it

Here the optics just fall out after removing the aperture grill

2711-img-0426.jpg

underside, I haven't removed the ribbon yet.

2712-img-0427.jpg

One lens, I tdont have anything to measure the lens' dimensions.

2713-img-0428.jpg

I will mount a diode in an aixiz and one of these lenses in a jayrob modified aixiz metal nut, a flex drive set to 300mA.

Picture quality is not what it should be , I will try with a different camera tomorrow.

Re: 445nm "sled" pics

I'm thinking that the glass lens is pretty nice. I don't know how it performs as far as focusing for burning.

If you need me to custom mount one of the lenses, just send it... (PM me)

Better yet, send a diode with it so we can both do testing! :D

I support this idea! :)
It´s time that this new born WL comes into the LPFworld

Re: 445nm "sled" pics

I'd like to know what is nominal current for these diodes. (20 000 hrs)
It can be tested if you do measurements when projector is ON.

i too would like to know this, but chances are hes already pulled it apart (i wouldve if i had 24 blue lasers just sitting there:D)

Re: 445nm "sled" pics

Will the same pins have the same polarity as, say a PHR diode ? Thanks, rob

Re: 445nm "sled" pics

I believe the pins are the same, the datasheet I looked at for another Nichia 445nm diode had the same pinouts as the PHRs, it looks like that pin configuration is the standard for these blue or violet LDs.

Re: 445nm "sled" pics

If you find a pin-out for this diode, will you post it in the DIODE COMPILATION THREAD, along with pertinent data, PLEASE ???? Thanks...............rob

Re: 445nm "sled" pics

Wow, also curious as to what the output will look like.

Keep up the good work.

I can't get any of these 444nm diodes over here in Korea. sucks.
