I doubt they don't have it. And some people use alcohol, but I don't recommend it as it can be bad for AR coatings and will kill the diode if it gets in. You should really look around for some lens cleaner, you will probably save cash and do better with it... plus I don't know a single glasses shop that doesn't have microfiber (you NEED that, it helps a lot)

I went to glasses shop today but they have never heard about that.
I bought 70% Alcohol, should I give it a try?

OK, first I tried with 70% alcohol and it was much worse than it was before cleaning.
Then I tried with LCD cleaning solution and it was a bit better.... but still worse than it was before.

And then I tried second time with 70% alcohol and brand new microfiber cloth and beam is perfect now.
So, 70% alcohol will not damage window.

Hey lads,

so this is my capture of <700mW of 445nm after 405-G-1 lens.

It's definitely a bar-shaped profile, but thin enough to burn almost as good as a ~200mW 405nm pin-point profile. Think of it as a RAZOR LAZOR...

That "razor" edge measures 4x<1mm @1m, and 15x1mm @3m. Anyone less tired than me can do the math and calc. divergence :p

The splash is 100% the same as a 405nm diode and I suspect the same as a 650nm LOC / LCC (only we cannot detect the rectangle that easily with the reds). The splash is a rectangle located on only one hemisphere, just below (or above) the long vertical line that intersects the 650/405/445 "dot".

The shots below were taken with the laser 3m from the projection surface, which was a black rubber mat as well as a sheet of paper. Click on any image to view the original sized image.

A Traveller review  should be out by Monday, latest, so stay tuned...

EDIT
p.s. A reminder what 405nm splash looks like. On the left, after Aixiz acrylic, on the right, 405-G-1 lens. Same splash, only mag-ni-fied... ;)

How romantic, lol. It sure would be sexy to light some scented candles with an 800mW laser :D

Turning it sideways is the key. I tried it with my 550mw, and it wouldn't work. My 8x didn't work either.

lol we did turn it sideways. I was at his house and tried it, then I noticed how much smoke there was and started to laugh that it wasn't lighting. It was seriously just flooding out. We managed to get this video, the amount of smoke isn't as extreme as it was seconds before this was recorded.

First 20 seconds of this video shows it:

edit: did you focus it to infinity or to a small point? We tried both. I even focused it to about the size of the top of the wick.

For candles, it really helps if you use one that has already been lit before. I think the proper term would be "re-lighting" the candle with the laser. I have yet to light one that hasn't been pre-lit.
