Hey folks,
After all this hype about these new 445 nm 1 W lasers, we've been thinking that it's probably good for everybody to have a set of ANSI/CE certified laser safety goggles which cover this wavelength. Wicked is including goggles with their laser but they are not certified which means you really don't know how "safe" they are. Is the OD at 445 nm carefully tested? Is each set consistent? How long can they take a beam shot before failing? If the goggles do fail and it costs you an eye does the manufacturer have any liability insurance or are you hung out to dry? Etc...
In the interest of getting proper US-made ANSI/CE certified goggles into everyone's hands, we're offering a special LPF forum discount on our laser safety goggles.
Simply use discount code "lpfgogs" (no quotes) to save 16% on ANY laser safety goggles from Laserglow Technologies. Our standard blue/green goggles are $89, so with this discount they are only USD $74.76. On top of this, you can also select "Use your FedEx/Purolator account number" as the shipping method and enter the discount code again, as your account number, to get FREE STANDARD SHIPPING within North America. Normally the free shipping discount doesn't work with other discount codes but this is a workaround so you can get both for this deal. (Valid only with this discount code.)
For a 1 W 445 nm laser we recommend either the LSG-532-NF-7 (fitover) or LSG-532-NS-7 (sport) models. These are rated at OD 7 through blue and green so they will also work for lots of other lasers. However, the discount code is valid for all of our goggles so if you want something a little more exotic now is the time!
I'll keep this discount running for as long as I can, but the offer is subject to change or cancellation at any time.
For your convenience, links to the product pages have been provided below:
