Lense issue with my Laserbtb 445 1W

Ok so I have had This laser now for over a month but recently it developed a large square artifact in the beam output.


Now correct me if this is wrong but I was told this is caused by the Coatings burning off the lens

I emailed laterbtb asking about it and they told i could atempet to remove the lens and clean/replace it they also said if i break a peace i can order a replacement part. After asking how to access the lens they replied

If you do not know how to access the lens,please send the laser back via postal service

after further questioning about removing the shutter peace they replied

It's not a simple fix,we use so much glue inside,optics mount, head and body.

remove the CE label,and heat it buy hot wind,then cover it with fabric,to unscrew
it to seperate the head and body,to get the lens.
need not to unscrew the shutter.

My question is is it worth fixing and or has anyone dismantled there laser.
and has anyone else had this problem.
Im wondering if it is possible to remove this front shutter

I would send it back to laserbtb so they can fix it. It's not worth risking breaking it while trying to fix it

The artifact is from the diode itself. It is from the reflection of the die on the glass window. No lens can correct the problem.

How does this happen ? it was not like this to begin with

I don't know how it happens. Some new diodes have this artefact already from the beginning. You could decan the diode in order to remove the glass windows but the cure can kill the diode.

What would you recommend me doing.

More that likely repairing it would destroy the laser.
Since its not dead i doubt the warranty would cover fixing it.
And paying to have them fix it yikes. O_O
I guess ill just keep it as it is its still a really cool laser.and still at .9 watt
