Re: Laserbtb.com the source for all laser needs. (6%: 109058640691)

Hello all. This is Philip. I have been reading these forums for the last few days now. I made this account to ask a question. I am just starting out with my laser hoby and do not know anyone personally who has any knowledge on the matter. Anyways, my delima is: I've decided on a JetLaser for my first powerhouse. Although, I'm torn between the 2W 445nM PL-E pro and the 1.7W 462nM PL-E pro. Here's their respective links:

500mW PL-E Pro 445nm blue Laser

PL-E pro 1w 2w blue laser 462nm, buy 462nm 2w blue laser pointer, portable 445nm 462nm laser, jetlasers pl-e pro 462nm

I am mainly buying this to burn things/pop balloons from across the room and to also point it at the sky. I would like your all's oppinions on weather or not there would be much of a burning power difference between the two. I'd have to say the 462nM looks nicer than the 445nM but am not sure about the .3mw power loss. Please help?

Not much difference. Maybe slightly. You should make a welcome post.

Thank you for answering me. By "not much difference" do you mean to say there wouldn't be any noticable time difference between poping a balloon with one or the other? If that's the case, I'd be inclined to go with the 462nm over the 445nm. Which one would you choose?
Also: What do you mean: "A welcome post"?

Both will pop balloons but why do you ask about jetlasers in a laserbtb thread? this is meant for them only. By welcome he means that you should add where you are from and how old you are is a good start to get off here, we dont want kids to buy high powered lasers and get hurt.

Thats alright if you need anything you can just start a new thread in the 445 section or in general if u dont know where to start, there are many people here that are here to help and answer questions thats why we prefer to know a little about when someone wants to buy lasers.

Hi,

IE is correct about that one. If it is not on their site just send an email. Don't expect the best english grammar though :)

I still need to pick up that 80mW 405nm pen they have for my collection. Too bad they don't sell the higher output pens anymore. I think they are pretty classy. All of my stuff still works although I can't say I actually turn them on much. Would like someone to sell me a higher output 405nm pen from them but I have no idea if they made that one with more output. Unfortunate they got rid of the 150mW 532nm pens although I have 2:D. Their new shipping prices are way too high for standard shipping. That's the reason why I haven't bought the 405nm yet. Take a look and see that they tack on an extra charge.

I have one of their pens and love it. Its an 60mW 520nm that meters around 110mW. Very well made and has a tiny key/tail cap but comes with the non keyed cap as well. I would be interested in buying another pen if a GB happened. I would buy more from BTB but their shipping prices are the highest I have seen per laser. They won't combine shipping for multiple laser orders and the PL's and Hl's were close to 60$ per unit, ouch!
