So i searched around but i couldnt seem to find anyone here who posted with what i was lookin for.

Does anyone actually own a 1w Spartan(dragonlasers) AND a rayfoss 1w 445(FTB, non-waterproof model)? or an arctic and the rayfoss?

ive found reviews of both lasers but none of someone who owns both and will compare them for me.

Also, if you Own the rayfoss 1w 445, post your experience with it, as ive only seen a couple people who report buying it, but im sure more of you own this one as it looks like a sweet deal compared to the popular models.

I have heard that the Rayfoss is underspec. I know the Arctic is as well a lot of times. If you want truly 1Watt then I would have to tell you to go with a DIY made here. I know It doesn't answer your question but It should help. Also I know that the Spartan is better than the Arctic By a few yards. I have seen burning videos side by side and the Phatass Arctic was roasted. (<- lol Get it?)

I have seen several comparison threads though I don't recall where they were atm.

As I recall the comparison threads stated that both the Rayfoss and Arctic were severly underpowered with the Spartan coming out ahead in the power and burning aspects. For Beam Quality I believe the arctic actaully won in that category believe it or not. Overal generally opinion seems to be that the Spartan comes ahead out of those 3, with the Rayfoss and Arctic being similar, but I think general opinion puts the arctic host ahead of the rayfoss, however the arctic loses points for the crappy saftey switch and crappy customer service.

I own all three, and I posted something about them on another thread. The Rayfoss produced slightly under 700mW with poor beam alignment. On the plus side (for me anyway), it uses 16340 batteries, and it can be focused using an included tool.

The Spartan is also a great laser(I have one) The only down side is that the beam is not focusable, and the divergence does seam to be as great as the arctic or rayfoss could be. Thats most likely due to the unfocusable nature, so your stuck with how they focused it at the factory to be as close the "infinity" as possible.
