Your problem is most likely the way you put the lens in the holder and which way you screwed it in
Its not promised to bump the output up but it could have been put on backwards. I have a 9mm's doing 2.5W & 3W

I don't think I put the lens in backwards- The round side is facing out. And I tested the 9mm with a G2 and it put out even less. 2.4 something. All the joints are soldered well. Should be no issues with the connections all.

Hmm, and its got massive wings on each side. :/ ill probably have to run a three element lens that might help

Update: the wings are from the G 9 lens. I might fiddle with it tomorrow. Thanks livinloud for the tips.

2.4W laser is a gnarly fire breathing monster... I would even back it down if it was your only one.
