which really bugs me is how to enjoy such a strong laser(1W-2W), especially when u are not into burning but more a look'er? so you have to record everything (eg. inside pointing, mirror, lense experiments) on video and then rewatch it how it would have looked without glasses?!?

thank god, ytube doesnt have a button titled: "show original laser output" :umbrella:

what about pointing to the stars, walls and far distances. do you still use your glasses or glare under it?

iam curious about how you handle safety and enjoyment together.

Many people preach about wearing glasses much more than they wear them. I only wear mine to burn, or lpm, or to view up close. If I'm looking at the beam, or the SD spot at a good distance , even of a 3w+, I don't wear them. I know safety nazis, mistakes do happen, but it's ones choice when to wear glasses or not.

Exactly, you don't need to wear your safety glasses all the time. You defiantly need to own a pair, just use them for certain purposes. Of course if you are burning something you need them. If you are just viewing the beam then you don't need them. Just make sure what you are shining it at is at a reasonable distance and not reflective.

There was one instance where I was shining my laser in my family room. I accidentally hit a picture. The beam reflected back not 6 inches from my eyes. You just have to be very careful for this reason.
