Default Help buying laser parts

Hello Guys,

I have a specification for what I need but not sure which parts are best, hopefully someone more experienced can help me!

Technical specification:
1 WATT.
BLUE LASER.
Very good (low) divergence, want to use the laser for long-range experiments!
Under 100 Dollars preferably, if possible.

If someone could help me put a "package" together I would really appreciate it.
Thank you guys

Go to DTR's shop and get the 1.8w m140 with driver. Go to survival laser and get the c6 host package with contact board for $30. Get solder and heat shrink tubing. Get glasses from survival laser.

somebody's socks seam a bit dirty just sayin

Where are you located? What do you consider very good divergence? How far is "long-range"? What sort of experiments? Answering these questions will help us help you.

Blue is not the best choice if you want good divergence.

You've started two threads - please stick to one of them.

We need more information before we can give good answers.

Agreed on the socks.

You are correct.
I'm sorry for this, admin can close the other one. I figured that forum was about "special" wavelengths later on.

Ich bin von Germany (location deutchland). So it's europe.
I've seen survivallaser ships there as well.

Well 10.000 meters somewhere there.
I understand the beam will diverge whatever specification I use, but I just need tips on "the best" one.
What is better than blue for divergence? Green?
Still need the high power to reach this "far" which is complicated with green ones.

At that distance your beam could be a hundred feet wide. I'm not doing the calculation but right now for individual diodes but an m140 will diverge a lot at 10km.

532nm green will likely give you the best divergence and brightness.

What are you trying to achieve with your experiment? Maximum beam diameter after 10km?

More like the "smallest" beam diameter on 10 km
what Watt do you think I need to reach these heights if green is used vs if blue is used?

Its for a university school project about security, airplanes etc.
(no we will not point it at airplanes ofc hahaha).
