So, My 445nm 2W driver driver is somewhere lost so I thought how can I run diode safely so I came to this idea.... Can i use this constant current & voltage driver with output caps to filter any spikes, and i start power at about 30% and turn voltage and current gradually up till its reccomended volts & amps. I know ive asked similar question but will it work with extraoutput filtering ? IC's on module are GS6300ZT 3Amp low ripple PWM buck DC to DC converter and LM324 single supply quad operational amp.

Will It run safe on this setup guys ?

Here is how it looks,

Thanks in advance !

Pretty sure that would work but definitely find your driver. Sounds like whatever you are using can limit the current so it is basically a driver but looks bulkier.

Yes, it worked with 2200 uf cap at the output and at 800ma, what ya think, is it safe to run it at full powah 1.7 amps ?

Don't forget to discharge (short) the cap before disconnecting and reconnecting the diode (with power off!!!) else you'll blow the diode.

Yup, Im doing that always, thanks for conserns man !
Btw, nice tesla coils, those are some cleannn products man !

It means he thinks you and the diode should just be friends.

Why thank you Shobos!

Yep. If you're reconnecting it often a 10k resistor across the cap will save you the hassle of discharging manually.

Im wondering, will the resistor decrease the spikes too at the output ?

i see. ARG think i dont know anything becaue my english isnt good. He make mistake. they want to ban me because my english they dont know me good

Lol, practice man, practice. But this isn't the best place to practice either. How old are You ?

The resistor will reduce current through the diode by about half a milliamp, but it will prevent a charge being stored on the cap for long after power is removed. It'l also dampen any oscillations or spikes in the output.

Excuse me? I never said that.

I want you banned because you are breaking the rules.

Are ya admin ARG ? If so could You please delete this topic ? I created this topic in wrong section, I created another one in the section where it belongs, altrough new people give new advice in this topic... it's Your call man.
