Hi there,
I've seen this new arrive to FP. It's supposed to be a 1W 445nm laser pointer

Focalprice.com offers 1000Mw 1000m 450nm Bule Laser Pointer Pen (Black) ,discount 1000Mw 1000m 450nm Bule Laser Pointer Pen (Black),1000Mw 1000m 450nm Bule Laser Pointer Pen (Black) products, low price 1000Mw 1000m 450nm Bule Laser Pointer Pen (Black)

I would not go with this company for any laser more expensive than $50, maybe for a cheap 445nm I suggest rayfoss:

www.rayfoss.com

But surely someone will buy the FP one and post a review

Interesting - I much like the look of that FocalPrice host. I'd love to be able to get my hand's on one. I'd never order a 445 prebuilt like that, but it would be cool to find just the host.

Ironically, you're probably more likely to get a "near-spec" laser when you spend the $$$ on a chinese gadget-site 445, than a chinese gadget-site 532. Primarily because there's only one diode to use, and the only thing they could really skimp on would be the driver, lens, or host (none of which are expensive to produce decent quality versions of)

The description of the Focal price laser states
"East to use, only need to push the button then you can see the green beam."

Typo i guess but it makes me suspicious

A 1000mW laser on a CR123 cell  that should last for about 12 seconds !

My guess is that it is somewhare between 500 and 501 mW out

Even the Artic uses a 18650 cell and they have been around 600-800mW out.

Megha, I tried to reply to your PM about the hosts, but PM's are blocked. Says you chose not to receive. If you could unblock them and shoot me another PM, I will get back to you. Hopefully you see this
