Radiant shades should be good for 900 mW if you don't want to wait for shipment of these others or don't want to spend more. I wouldn't think that any OD is too high for 1.8W.

Well yea but, what if I can barely see the dot where I'm pointing.. that's what I fear, if +7OD is too much for a 1.8W laser

OD7 is quite high. I try to stick around OD4 or OD5, and you can also get a pair of alignment glasses around OD2 for setting up when you need to see the beam while setting thins up.

I've got an OD 4-5 (depending on wavelength) and while it doesn't do justice to the true brightness of a 445 diode you see enough to do what you need to.

The RadiantShades will provide protection for lasers up to 1.5 watts. Beyond that, it will be letting more than 5mW through.

I have a pair of Laser glow LSG-532-Sport protective eye goggles @ OD 7+, and they are fine. You don't see the beam, but you can easily tell where the dot is. I can even see the faint dot of a 60mw 405 though the glasses, so its not like you put them on, and all traces of the laser is removed. I highly recommend them.

I got the YLW (OD5+), and the dot is still very visible on a 650mW 445nm. I love the visibility I get with them too since it's yellow.

That's what I thought, +7OD is too damn high..

Do you have OD7?

Because I do

And I still see a very bright dot with my 1.9W 445nm. And I still see a good dot with my 1W Spartan.

Infact, I have 2 pairs of those "cheap" classes the OP linked to, and they block out more light then my LaserGlow OD7 glasses.

Haha Well I'm planning to take the ones I linked above. OEM lasers wouldn't disappoint me.. I hope :yh:

Does anyone use the glasses provided by wicked lasers? Im looking for something cheap and that doesn't look completely stupid.
