Nah i better buy that flex driver or make 1 myself or to buy a better lab power supp.

In my testing, I hit 1.8 Amps at only 4.65 Volts. I quickly found 1.8 Amps to be MY max current as the diode went dark - no LED stuff. YMMV........

What was your supply and did you monitor V & I ?

Yes you need a CURRENT regulated power supply. That diode will draw far more current than .8A at 5v.

Don't get me wrong, a voltage supply will work for laser diodes, but not when it's set to 5V. It's safer from a hobbyist/user point of view to go with current-source, but voltage can still work if you set it to an appropriate voltage.

Well if Xplorer877 gives this driver i will use THAT driver only simple. They all say that the diode A-140 works best @ 1 amp so ill take 1 amp and not more.
