Confused about batteries for Spartan 1W

My Spartan is underway and my batteries arrived today.

I ordered the Tenergy LiFePO4 3.0v recharchables (which are recommended in another thread about the Spartan)

I received two different types of batteries.
Both are Tenergy LiFePO4 but 2 of them are 3.0v (silver with yellow) and the other 4 are 3.2v (silver with green).
I can't find any info in the forum about the 3.2 (silver/green) batteries.

Are these 3.2v LiFePO4 batteries safe to use in my Spartan?
Or is it maybe the same battery with a new cover.(since the 3.0v is actually 3.2v as well)

thanks.

Good question. A link to the batteries would be nice.

Did you try asking your vendor whether it is the same battery? In the meantime, I advise you to use only the 3.0v batteries.

I just got those 3.0V Tenergy batteries with the dedicated Tenergy battery.
The batteries claim to be PCB protected to 3.6V and the working voltage is 3.2V
If the 3.2's charge up to the same point, they shouldn't be a problem.

The are not PCB Protected, It is just a safer chemistry cell. I use these in my 1.2Watt laser. they charge up to ~3.6v and then drop down to around 3.36v. Lifepo4 cells do this so no need to be concerned.

BUT I WILL TELL YOU DO NOT TRY AND CHARGE REGULAR LITHIUM CELLS IN THE LifePo4 CHARGER. YOU WILL MOST LIKELY MAKE IT EXPLODE OR IT WILL START TO MAKE A BUZZING SOUND AND GET EXTREMELY HOT. SOMEONE DID THIS ON THE E -CIG FORUM AND IT HAPPEND SO JUST BE AWARE.

SO ONLY USE THAT CHARGER WITH LifePo4 CELLS
.:)

here is a link to the batteries.

Tenergy LiFePO4 RCR123A 3.0V 750mAh Rechargeable Battery

They are sold as 3.0v LiFePO4 but the battery itself is 3.2v
The specifications are exactly the same as the 3.0v Batteries (both have peak voltage of 3.6)

I have never seen the green and silver ones so i dont know. Sorry

What is the mah Rating on them 1000mah?

Also read what i wrote to Zapu. Peaking at ~3.6v is normal with these cells. After 1 to 2 minutes it drops down to around 3.36v.

When I read 3.6v cutoff, I just assumed they were protected. Thanks for pointing that out to me. :)

I've emailed Batteryjunction with this question and they replied that the green/silver batteries are the same as the yellow/silver ones (just a new wrapper from the manufacturer)
