^^^ Hi tomsk, CDBEAM
:)

Tom great build there! should have a lot of useage time with them huge cells.
I also would like to see some closeups of the head-end on this cool laser you built!
In regards to sticking a waveplate into it, you could probably take a 12mm waveplate
and cut it into quarters with things so close and tight like it must be on there.... use the 3 extra pizza plates to build 3 more of these! :)

Thanks for all.

I do sell this building for my friend, done in 2 months, in part because of a lack of components, its value upon completion is $ 600, but may be too high to achieve the desired results such a waste of money.

This is how I grafted 2 445nm beam together.

Thanks ARG for picture:D

Great build. The host looks very familiar.
There is even room for a third diode. :)

Thats what I was thinking, it looks very similar to your dominator :)

Very nice build tomsk

I like the button/UI interface. looks very professional :)

Nice. I wish I had a lathe...do you have a laser power meter to test your finished build?

Nice Lathe !!! I see your diagram above...but...I assume you employ a bounce/steering mirror for the Secondary beam....and that the Secondary LD axis is parallel to the Primary LD axis...PRIOR to the bounce mirror....where it THEN takes a 90 degree turn to enter the PBS cube.

How do you adjust this bounce mirror ??? The steering/alignment IS the critical operation to achieve a alignment of the two beams. The component used to acheive this alignment is therefore of interest to me !!!

There are only three methods that I know of to steer/align a beam;

1) A Brass Flexmount
2) A MM1 type mount
3) A hard machine procedure==> machine==> machine ==> machine the bounce mirror holder...until an a close to perfect alignment is acheived.

ALTHOUGH...it could be possible to have some method of adjustment for the Secondary beam...by having some mechanical adjustment available to the Secondary 445 module ( like having the front of the module stationary...and adjustabillity for the rear of the module)....but then...the Primary and Secondary module would be in a " T " arrangment....which would take up alot of space !!! Really...more compact and
more control by using a flexmount !!! IMNSHO !!!

Possible you are using a different method ??? Please share. I ALWAYS have room to learn !!!

Thanx,

Hey does anyone know what kind of host that is or something similar that has the first tail switch and then also the side clicky, so you need to activate both switches to turn on the laser?

Thanks guys!

I think he said he built it with this..
I Wish he would show how he set that mirror up to hit the PBS

Thanks :D

I make at home with it:

The LPM is expensive, I can't buy it.

The Flexmount is good idea, but I not use because space within a very narrow host.

It have two switch because for safety, like green laser pointer, back have lock, on host have button for active, if not have the lock, the pointer can active unwanted. My Blue laser is too, so long as it used to switch on the server itself to easier use.

Sorry my English :yabbem:

So tomsk, did you use a custom host,or did you buy a flashlight?

Thanks!

Check out DIY Ophir based LPM's. You can make one yourself for around $250 and it will be able to measure this laser :)

Yes, I think so. But I do not have much money LPM project, and I'm still trying to perfect his own a LPM. And Ophir is the best option for me at this time.

So tomsk, did you use a custom host,or did you buy a flashlight?

Thanks!

I just bought the same host individual Dominator, heatsink and everything then make it completely myself.

:thanks:
