Well Hello all I finally remembered my login information. I didn't know this site still existed and I am so glad it does. I recently moved and found a box labeled "Laser Stuff" so I opened it and found my old lasers. I have a 445nm laser that I got the diode from a shop on here called Modwerx I think from a guy named Andy. I built an LM317 based driver for it. The output is 950 mA. If I recall the diode I have can safely handle 1.25 Amps. I'm sorry guys I wish I could remember the diode name. What I need help on is how to go about putting it in a host with a suitable driver. As it sits it is in an aluminum square heatsink that's in the aixxis module. All of this with a huge DIY circuit on a cheap PCB board with the lm317 and other components. I am truly envious of some of the lasers I have seen you guys create. I am fairly savvy with soldering and tinkering. So please someone point me in the right direction here. I would surely appreciate it. Thanks all.

You'll need a proper host with a heatsink made for a 12mm aixiz module, check the B/S/T for them.
Your diode is likely an A140 or A130 :)

There are smaller open source boost drivers out there, like the CCBoost and the BenBoost if you want to use one cell in your chosen host. The LM317 driver you have will work if you compact it enough, but you will need two cells to drive it then.
Of course there's also the non-DIY route and you can buy a pre-made driver in the B/S/T for $15-$25
