Never noticed. Perhaps they are new.
The pen seems nice.
I'll be awaiting their response...

Edit: I'm an idiot, that says 1000mW...I shouldn't try to read stuff at 5am...

Legitimate question, I wonder why even the PGL-III-C is listed as two CR123s instead of one 18650 when even their 800mW green portables are 18650 powered.

They must be using a different driver since this diode needs a higher Vf. Their blu ray portables also use CR123s.

The greens perhaps only use an 18650 because the Vf for an IR pump is pretty low...

1.2-2.2V?

Usually Vf for IR diodes, even the large bars is 2-3V, but I meant capacity wise for longer battery life.

I´m gonna buy the 1W in the PGL-III ASAP (if the price isn´t that high)
I´m sure they use a way better beam correction optics than Wickedlasers at the Arctic.

I would also be interested in the duty cycle of the blue portable, the green ones (800mw) only have 30sec.

Cool, and they even say the got near TEM00 beam specs. This could really be worth it.

Hmm I think the near TEM00 only is for up to 600mW.
There it says beam divergence 1.5mRad and for the higher powered it says <3.0×0.5 divergence...
Strange I wonder what would change for the higher powered

They might have beam correcting optics in the lower powered versions that waste some of the power.
