Anyone noticed CNI´s 447nm portables?

They might have beam correcting optics in the lower powered versions that waste some of the power.

They might be using very inefficient optics which greatly reduce the power, but that seems unlikely.

Also, why are dragon lasers and CNI listing these as 447nm lasers? I thought they were 445nm diodes, or did we hobbyists just round to the nearest 5? I know that they wavelength in diode lasers can easily shift 10nm, but why the different label?

I wonder why the 447nm in the PGL-III-A host has a diode lifetime at 5000hours and the diodes in the PGL-III-C between 3000-5000hours

Wonder if Glenn can offer these ont he next GB. It'd be interesting. I may even go for it. They may be slightly different diodes; as someone else mentioned I'm sure CNI isn't ripping apart projectors.

Did anyone of you get a price range?
Is it possible to call them directly?

if they're expected at 5000 hours lifetime upto 600mW, you could probably just increase the current a bit to make up for it without too much problem, and keep the corrective features.

Yeah, it's the 21st. Did anyone get a quote?

Group buy anyone?

My calendar still says the 20th :D

There will most likely be a lot of interest in the PGL-A model.
You can expect pricing in the $200-300 range. Less if you are ordering in large quantities (10+ units).

If anyone else is interested in the 5mW GLP, I'm in. I already have a Class IV 445 and another in the works. A pointer for around the house might be fun.

the highest power of GLP is 300mW at price rate of $305
and PGL-III-C/1W price is $330

as i understand from them the GLP with output >5mW is not available to U.S
they gave me the prices of GLP cause i'm not in U.S

I am interested in the 5mW version of the GLP. Did they give you a quote for the GLP 5mW?

PGL-III-C/1w 445 is really not bad. I'd be interested in this and I really wonder if it would be less still under GB. In any case, I'm good for one of these if anyone wants to start a buy.

Shipping of the 1W 447nm in PGL-III-C host is $70.
The output is an elliptical beam.

Hi,
You can just buy one from us firstly, please find the quotation of the laser as below:
PGL-III-C-447nm-100mW/Unit USD240.00
PGL-III-C-447nm-300mW/Unit USD270.00
PGL-III-C-447nm-500mW/Unit USD300.00
PGL-III-C-447nm-800mW/Unit USD310.00
PGL-III-C-447nm-1000mW/Unit USD350.00
The price excludes freight charge.
Please let me know your opinion on the laser.
Please contact me without any hesitation if you need any help.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards;

frrom some guy who contacted them on wl forum

the mere 10$ difference between the 500 and 800 models does suggest the diodes are very similarly powered and the rest of the output differences is the correction optics

No one asked about the PGL-III-A? :cryyy: I prefer that host really, it's sleek and refined.
