I applaud your decision, Novalasers!

and yes, I would very much like to know if this was an internal decision only, or of other, maybe large companies, are involved in this decision..

Atlantis. True to name...

It is almost as if they *knew* this would happen.

I don't think it's at all a good idea.

The Atlantis certianly didn't look like a toy.

It had the 5-point safety system. It was also in a respectable host.

The Arctic doesn't. I don't know how any Spyder III could ever get FDA approval in any way, shape or form.

After consulting with laser users as well as experts in the field of laser applications and safety we have decided to suspend production on the Atlantis-1 445nm <1W laser and will not be carrying this product at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Please note that we do not regularly monitor the forums and any questions should be sent to sales@novalasers.com.

Best Regards,
Magdalena Gudzowska
NOVALasers Inc.

I wonder which laser users they talked to that didnt want this produced.

Either way , it's responsible of them to take the steps they did to let everyone know.

I wouldnt be at all surprised if LASERFAQ had a chat with them, but I cant swear to it, but its definitely possible. They wanna pull it its their choice, but take down the stupid ad, its misleading and false advertising, which I belive is illegal...

There's a difference between false advertising and outdated advertising. They should probably speak to C0ld about taking it down or replacing it with an updated version, I agree, but either way it needs C0ld's input.

Daves crazy face :eg: lol.

It's a shame the Atlantis is being withdrawn, probabally put together with some more thought and quality than the wicked lasers. They must be turning into foxconn now, some nice 34 hour shifts.

c0ld said earlier that they have the control to change or remove the ad at any time, which they are not doing. They can have an ad, thats fine, just change it to somthing the actually plan to sell....
