The batteries hold up pretty well but there are a lot of them:
4 purple efest 18650s
4 Duracell 123s
I initionally charged the lipos then once more.
As far as I can tell the duty cycle should be unlimited.. I took some temperature readings with my fluke and the modules hold steady 80-85deg F. Ambient (76deg.)
That being said I really haven't pushed it.

That's awesome ! Very innovative and it doesn't look like a flashlight. I love it !
Great build, thanks for posting it

Beautiful work ! Another " Combiner " joins the ranks "

On that size optical platform, I agree the MM 050 or its class is a perfect choice for beam steering.
The larger cube or mirror mount's are more friendly to adjust, but have a larger size vs. a Flexmount. Always trade-off's.

Very innovative design. And, the LD's can be current max'ed with some cool air. Great use of the room.

Thanx for sharing ! We march forward !

I guess I'm in a share my over honest opinion mood but here is it. The host is ugly as sin, the name is really dumb, BUT, conbiming 2 NDB7A75 diodes is pretty darn cool. GJ

Hmm, interesting. So "DukeAnumber1" is a "smart" name.
Sorry, I don't see the difference.

I knew building it it wasn't going to be attractive, But out of the materials I have available it works. I also ordered that wrong cube platform which is ungodly large.

The name Angel Breath is mostly pertaining to my next modification: I'm adding a compact oxygen cylinder underneath the handle. a gas tube will be hooked up to a solenoid( coupled with a valve)so I can turn the flow off and on. Anything burning that oxygen injection will intensify. Hence angel breath.
Right now I'm at work and have to sideline this project for 3 weeks.

Yikes ! Be very careful with Oxygen. It is a huge combustion accelerant !! I have seen accidental burns linked to the use of Oxygen.

For example, in an industrial setting, while using an Oxygen lance to remove slag and steel from a red hot ceramic surface, a workers cotton glove " exploded" and he suffered 3rd degree burns.

The lance had a leak in it and his glove filled with Oxygen. A stray spark then landed on this glove and the glove exploded. Oxygen is serious stuff !

Yes, it will greatly accelerate the rate of combustion, but it is dangerous, and all it takes is one stray spark to ignite...and " KA BOOM "

With only concern for your safety, I would recommend you abandon this proposed plan. The workers hand was NOT a good sight ! It healed, but he was off for an extended time.

Oh no, Oxygen is definitely something to take serious but I use it quite frequently at work so in the right setting I think it will be an interesting addition.

I've seen people "dust off" with compressed oxygen and quite frankly that scares me. however mixed with acetylene it's a very effective tool.

I take what I said back, it makes sense now. I'm really looking forward to see videos if it in action.
