There seems to be three lenses here ... one that reflects purple which matches the pictures of the old red lenses, the other reflects gold which matches the pics of the old 405, and now these "replacements" we got yesterday which have a light blue tint. WTH!?

I too would like to see the lenses inspected for the gold coatings before shipping another batch of replacements. I don't mind if I receive them out of the wrapper.

Got my replacements today. Both reflect gold.

Checked the power and beam. Power went from 386 to 409mW with the new lens, and beam quality is excellent.

Thanks for clarifying the additional AR coatings we have noticed.

I do have a question that I think many here at LPF are interested in.

How does the new "purple/gold" AR coating power output compare to the

previous "yellow/amber" AR coating that many bought for 405nm diodes ?

I just sent back a large order of lenses to AixiZ because there were huge differences in focal length between the lenses, as well as other issues such as loose optics, and a 30% power difference between lenses.

Not good...

Chuck, if your reading this, please get me my lenses from the same source that my first order of 70 came from. Because they were all good... (had to be a different source)

P.S. If you can get me the same as my first 70, then let me know, because I will want 90 instead of the 60 that I sent back, and I will need to send payment for the additional 30...

Here is the two versions I have received so far ... notice the left one has purple reflections and a bit of gold, and the right one has blue reflections with a bit of gold.
None look like the pictures posted here of the ones sent out by jayrob or hak. I do not see any hint of purple in those.

UPDATE I just check them in the sun and there is no hint of yellow/gold at all.

I ordered 3 445nm lenses and two are missing from the letter.

One that I received is the same as old glass lens for red lasers.

I sent them an e-mail, but still haven't received response.

They are busy and I'll wait.

I think those of you who are further away from the USA are just getting yours now, and so are experiencing the issues we all had a couple of weeks ago. I got word from Aixiz that they have a very large batch of confirmed good lenses, so the issues should be sorted. Any future orders or replacements should be correct.

I just received my replacements for the replacements and I happy to report they have the correct "yellow" coatings!

I just got my replacement lens in the mail today along with my flexdrive so I plan to finish mine tonight. The new lens I got today deffinately does not havethr blue reflections like the normal red lens does, however the golden reflection is only slightly golden. I don't have an LPM to test but I'll make note of whether or not there are wings or splatter from the lens.

I Just received my 3 replacement in today and there is no Constancy to them.

Iam calling this the top in my post:

The len on the right is the all golden one bottom and top.

The middle one top part where you screw the focusing ring on has more gold to it then purple . and the bottom lens closest to the diode is more purple to it then gold.

The left one top part where you screw the focusing ring on has more purple then gold in it and the bottom lens closest to the diode has more of a golden color to it then purple.

I also want to add that these are the different nuts they have the 2 holes in them rather than the 2 slots and these are the third replacement that i have received. 2 of the were also had loose opticics. I think iam done trying to make this right iam just going to call it. If it Cant be corrected by the third time then its not a mistake anymore. Thats just my 2 cents on this.:( I will test them tomorrow to see what they put out if there is a difference between these in Constance coating.

I received my 2nd replacement lens today. It appears to be perfect. I don't have time to take a pic now, but I'll take some power measurements and some pics later. I'll edit this post when I do that.

I just finished my build in Jayrobs 18650 host. For starters, thanks Jay it looks sexy lol.

As far as the lens goes, the beam is nice and rectangular. Had it at about 650mA then turned it up to 920 about 20 minutes later haha. I'm nearly sure that I have the right lens as it does look like ambush more golden reflection but I'm still very impressed by the laser itself.

Couldn't be happier. Thanks again Jay for your host and Daguin for the diode.:D
