Quick question, i understand that you get lens's with the diodes from the A130 projector. Can one of these lens be used in a pointer housing to shape the beam of the 445nm diode into i nice dot? or would i need another type of lens?

I've seen no mention of anyone using them from the projector.

So I think the lenses are only suited for the focal length needed to get the light to the DLP microchip mirror-array that steers the beam to make the image on the wall or screen etc.

So I suspect they're not suitable for use in a laser where you want a tight beam.
