80mW 445nm labby

OK guys so I have been holding on to one of the NDB7242E diodes for a wile now and decides I would build a labby out of it.

My problem was I did not have a lab host for it so I improvised :D

I put the diode in an aixiz module and that inside a C6 host.
Then at the local maker-space I 3-D printed 2 brackets and hooked everything together.

So now I present my new labby

at 80mW the heat sink is nothing more than just a base :tinfoil:

I have always wanted a low powered 445! I love the color but they are kinda scary powered on average.

Yea I'm not big on power either I prefer wavelength beam profile over power.
personally color and beam spec wise I prefer 473nm over 445nm. :na:

I have in this build an S1 lens but I get better divergence with a 3 element so I may switch it back.

With the 3 element I get ~20mW less output power but like I said I prefer bean spec over power.

Nice, I still need to start building the laser pointer that I want to put the diode a got from you in. I'll probably make it 5mw so I can have a 5mW laser pointer for each of the main wavelengths.

When did you buy a diode from me ?

Yea I want this diode in a pen as well. I want to build one into the White LP pen host from laser BTB.

the spot these diodes make is almost identical to that from my 515nm diode.
