445nm weak as hell

so i've built a 445nm about a year ago, and recently i've had time to try to get it running again

i dunno why my 445nm is weak as hell but right now i see like a weak dot, with a ring of light around it

i tried a 12V battery thats around 1300mAH and it was weak as hell

im using 2x15266 battery and i thought that was my issue

does it sound like a dead diode, or should i try another driver

is it safe to just test with my 15266 batteries without a driver, there 3.7V and rated 600mAH

Well since there are no replies yet i'll post one. Measure the current to the diode if possible, and not the driver. If the laser warms up during/after use even if there is only a few mW output, the diode is dead. Don't test the diode directly off the batteries unless you use a resistor. Hope that helps
