yes you won for the led.
my pp info is on first page as well as the latest top bidder but its near the bottom.
also if you item is small it will be around 2$ to ship it to you.
you want just the led correct no heatsink or anything?

Anyone know what the vf is on these diodes? A little over 2V I'm guessing.

Neat that means that mine should arrive today or tomorrow considering my close proximity to kiyoukan (he's in Mississippi and I'm over in Tennessee)

i will do.
I know i was going to try to power one of those bad boys up but i had to not tempt myself.
i know if i powered one up i would wind up keeping it.
and i am in michigan not Mississippi.
and Mississippi abbreviation is MS.

I'm in Chattanooga. By the way I did in fact get my diode today as well as a collimating lens and my laser safety glasses came yesterday as well. Whoot ! :D Now I've got to get or build a host and driver for it. The one I really like is the kryton groove but it doesn't come with a driver.

Crap I should have paid attention in geography.

Watch out for the heat sink compound on the diode. Mine got spread around a bit and came close to getting on the window. It would clean off, but that window need to be really clean and it's better not to touch it more than necessary...

Can anyone see a good reason to leave the plastic lead spacer on the diode?

Yeah: the pins are fragile. I was testing whether the spacer would slide off or not after removing the esd bridge. I only used just enough sliding force to be able to tell if there was any resistance, and wouldn't you know it, the + pin sheared off. I managed to solder the tip of a wire to the tiny point of metal, all that was left of the pin, and got some blue photons, but this is definitely going into a lab build now, it's way too fragile.

If anybody has any recommendations, I'm totally open to 'em. I'm thinking of using some flexible small gauge stranded wire this time, and epoxy the wire to the heatsink afterwards to keep movement to a minimum and keep the ability to resolder when it detaches again. This solder joint isn't strong at all.

Whoh, you did something really wrong. Those pin holders have always slid right off for me. Just make sure there is no solder in the way, and that the case pin is straight. Sometimes that case pin gets a little chewed up for some reason.
How did you manage to shear a brass pin with a thin plastic nub?
