Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

Im ok to pay the few bucks extra and make it ~$39 per diode. Plus i think its better if you get them from newegg too.
id rather pay a couple more bucks and rid myself of all the hastling

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

but buying the arrays at 850 plus 6% sales tax 51$ = 901 per projector.
So if you guys would not mind i would like to order them threw newegg and have them delivered then i would have all my shipping supplies needed as well as being able to order more than just 2 projectors for anyone wanting more.

Newegg is charging you Michigan sales tax? How much for shipping? $10 to NV.

I'm still in for a diode, especially if it's an A140. Just let me know what the final added cost is and when to pay.

I am still in... Just PMed you.

Great solution, you got my spirits up, especially because they are now A140!

Thanks!

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

I've waited this long, may as well save as much money as possible.
I had hoped to be able to get it before 4th of July. :undecided: On the other hand
considering my lack of experience and thus a high chance of ruining an expensive device
I would prefer it if someone could either build
or direct me to a pre built driver worth buying. On the same token the safety glasses
I ordered haven't arrived so it's probably better that I don't get this laser just yet.

On a separate topic if kiyoukan would post pictures of the guts of the projector when he gets them I might
find some parts worth buying.

Lastly it would certainly be helpful if kiyoukan would be kind enough to post a link so that I can send the few extra dollars required to purchase this laser.

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

as for a driver i would recommended the die 4 driver
max current 2A if i remember right.
Die4Drive
i am getting a few of them myself.
i wish we could do a gb for them....
but i would like if someone else organized this....
i am getting tired off all the emails but i would be interested to see if they even have discount rates.
and no if i bought them from BestBuy i get charged 6% sales tax but not from new egg.

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

I am going to order 2 projectors today.
I the third projector is almost ready there also might be a 4th depending if the people who bought arrays want them converted into single lasers they get roughly 14 and possibly some money back.
depends if your international or not.
just waiting on shipment for the first 2 arrays.
i am going to need the extra 3$ for this to work.
The best way to send it is via a personal gift that way we dont get hit by pp fees

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

Here are the different models of Casio Slim Green Projector. Note that they cancelled release of 3000 ANSI lumens versions!
News - CASIO

Assuming we want a 2500 ANSI lumens model in the hope the diodes are better than in the 2000 ANSI lumens model, the cheapest should be the 'XGA Real (1,024×768)' model without 'USB Host Function & Wireless Communication with PCs'

That's Model XJ-A140

Does everyone agree this is the model to get, assuming it's cheaper than any other 2500 Lumen model as expected?

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

So, for diodes, what will be the price to be added on getting these? For arrays?

Thanks for your effort and GREAT job tracking down some A140 diodes. I'm pumped.
Will you be PM'ing us with your paypal address to send the "personal gift" - lol :)

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$!

Okay so.
to get this going.
after selling the diodes, i will have parts left over that i dont need and it seems there is a demand for some of them
so there are 2 red leds
2 phosphorous wheels.
1 set of combining optics. (i want the other set.)
mirrors and lenses.
So if you want them put a price and i will take the highest price
it will end the same day i am shipping them out to you, that way i can do all the shipping in one day.
i cant wait to walk into the post office with 50+ packages to ship out there going to love me...
